Let it Be: Virtual Fundraising Week

Join us the week of September 21-27 to help us raise $16,000 in replace of our annual Spelling Bee competition.

The ALC Spelling Bee is transitioning to a virtual fundraising week called 'Let it Be" Literacy Week! As uncertainty still exists with COVID-19, the ALC has made the decision to shift our annual event to an online fundraiser. This fundraiser will allow us to celebrate the inspirational stories of the students and tutors that are critical to our mission, while also ensuring that our supporters are safe. We have set a goal to raise at least $16,000 between now and September 27.

As our regular, in-person, fun-filled event shifts online, it will take place over a one week period, Monday, September 21 - Sunday, September 27. The online fundraising week will include daily communication to supporters including stories from students and tutors.

An investment in the ALC is one of the best you can make: Event cancellation does not cancel the need for ALC services and programs. The ALC gives stability to families and ensures a more educated, reliable and efficient workforce. With improved literacy, individuals gain confidence and become more involved in their community.

To donate, visit our donation page, linked below, and give online or by mail with the information present on our site. We appreciate your determination to ensure that we can continue to improve lives through literacy one student at a time, even in a virtual setting!
